Social Security Is at a
Crossroads.
You’ve heard the warnings. According to the CBO's latest update, Social Security faces benefit cuts of 28% by 2032 if nothing changes. But warnings without action don’t fix anything.
This tour exists because the people who built this country deserve a seat at the table. Not talking heads on cable news. Not 800-page policy papers nobody reads. Real conversations, in real communities, led by people who actually understand the system.
Joe Penland and David Walker aren’t running for office. They’re not selling anything. They’re bringing the facts directly to you so you can make informed decisions about your future and hold your elected officials accountable.
The Head and The Heart Tour
brings two powerful voices together for one mission
giving everyday Americans the truth about Social Security’s future and what it means for their families

The “Head”:
Hon. David M. Walker
David Walker served as the seventh Comptroller General of the United States, leading the Government Accountability Office for nearly a decade. A three-time presidential appointee confirmed unanimously by the Senate, he also served as a Public Trustee for Social Security and Medicare. He's a national bestselling author and the subject of the documentary I.O.U.S.A.

The “Heart”:
Joe Penland Sr.
Joe started as an ironworker in the 1960s, climbing hundreds of feet in the air to build bridges across the Gulf Coast. When a problem shut down job sites, he borrowed $2,750 and built the solution himself. That decision launched a 52-year career as an entrepreneur and community leader. Today, he's fighting to protect Social Security for the Americans who built this country.
